The U.S. Navy Memorial will host a Wreath Laying Ceremony to honor the heroes of Pearl Harbor and remember the lives lost during the attack of December 7, 1941.

The United States Navy Memorial and Project Recover is hosting a video screening, panel discussion, and Q&A after our POW/MIA Wreath Laying Ceremony. The program will share the work Project Recover is doing to recover the remains of and honor our nation's prisoners of war and those still missing in action.
National POW/MIA Recognition Day, established by Congress in 1988, honors prisoners of war (POWs) and those still missing in action (MIA). It is observed on the third Friday of September. In 1990, Congress designated the POW/MIA flag as “the symbol of our Nation’s concern and commitment to resolving as fully as possible the fates of Americans still prisoner, missing and unaccounted for in Southeast Asia.”
The United States Navy Memorial's Bridge Wing Chat Series provides a forum for sailors and civilians to engage directly with Navy leadership and industry on strategic topics that shape our naval future. This Bridge Wing Chat will be an important discussion on America's Maritime Future and the Maritime Industrial Base and is conducted under Chatham House Rule

On June 4th we will host a wreath laying in honor of the 83rd Anniversary of the Battle of Midway. Commemorating the service members and the sacrifices made during the battle and whose victory turned the tide of the war in the Pacific. The event will feature a guest speaker, the U.S. Navy Band, and U.S. Navy Ceremonial Guard. Following the ceremony there is a light reception in the Visitors Center.

The rank of Chief Petty Officer was officially established on April 1, 1893. The Navy Memorial hosts an annual birthday celebration for Navy Chiefs to honor, recognize, and celebrate their fundamental role in the United States Navy.
